Stitch removal varies by area: the face and neck are removed on day 7 after surgery, while the torso, arms, and legs are removed later, on days 10 to 14.
Even though the stitches have been removed, the wound is not completely healed, so if it is bumped or subjected to strong pressure, it may open or tear again. After the stitches are removed, it is good to maintain scar taping therapy, such as Steri-Strips, until 1 month after surgery. During taping therapy, it is fine to get water on it from showering or washing your face, and drying it well after it gets wet makes it adhere more firmly. After maintaining taping therapy until the 1-month mark, you can manage the wound even more cleanly with scar ointment, scar laser treatment, and so on. We provide detailed guidance on this again at the clinic after surgery.
Until your visit on day 1 or 2 after surgery, no separate self-disinfection is necessary.
However, after that, until the day the sutures are removed (usually 7 to 14 days), self-disinfecting once every 1 to 2 days helps with wound care and scar prevention.
First, wash your hands thoroughly, then carefully remove the existing dressing (waterproof bandage, foam dressing, etc.), check that the wound has not opened, and replace it with the same type of dressing.
Self-disinfection is usually sufficient with just a dressing change; there is no need to use a separate disinfectant or ointment.
We will let you know which dressing product to use during disinfection at the clinic, but if you are unsure, please contact the clinic and we will be happy to guide you.
Even if you have keloid-prone skin, we recommend removing the benign tumor.
In the case of a benign tumor that keeps growing, removal will eventually be necessary, and the scar becomes larger as time passes. Therefore, even with keloid-prone skin, it is better to remove it first, and we recommend proceeding with keloid treatment after surgery.
Even in multiple cases, treatment in a single day is possible.
Depending on the patient's health condition and the number, size, and location of the lesions, there are cases where it is not possible in a single day. After an examination with the doctor, we will let you know how much can be removed.
No method for preventing benign tumors has yet been established in modern medicine.

There are two reasons the surgical site may be red.

1. When there is inflammation
When there is inflammation, the surgical site may swell, hurt, or ooze discharge. Since active treatment such as taking antibiotics is required, please receive a prescription after the doctor's examination.

2. Normal healing process
Blood vessels develop at the surgical site as part of the healing process. At this time, they may show through the skin and appear red. In this case, there are no symptoms such as pain or discharge. The skin color usually returns within 6 months. (The period may vary depending on the case.)
After the stitches are removed, showering and light exercise are possible.
In the case of exercise, high intensity may cause the wound to open, so it is best to consult with the doctor about the details before doing so.
After surgery, keeping the affected area clean is the most important thing.
After surgery, you must avoid getting the area wet until the stitches are removed and be careful not to sweat. You should also prevent bacterial growth and secondary infection through regular disinfection. If the surgical site is large, 1 to 2 weeks of rest is needed even after the stitches are removed.
The recovery period after surgery varies depending on the size and location of the lesion.
It usually takes about 5 to 14 days after surgery and may differ by area. If the lesion is large or located at a joint, 1 to 2 weeks of rest is needed even after surgery. We provide detailed information after the doctor's examination.
In most cases, you must visit at least twice: the day after surgery and the day the stitches are removed.
The number of visits may increase depending on the patient's condition. If a visit is not possible, we will guide you to an appropriate treatment method.

There is no pain during the surgery itself, but you may feel pain when receiving the anesthetic injection.
All surgeries are performed after local anesthesia, so there is no pain during the procedure. Pain may occur when the first local anesthetic injection is administered.
Benign tumor surgery can be claimed under health insurance or private medical insurance, depending on the policy terms.
However, ultrasound diagnosis for surgery and material costs are not covered by health insurance and are handled as non-covered (out-of-pocket) expenses. For private medical insurance, please check your policy terms to see whether a claim is possible. More than 90% of our patients receive private insurance benefits.
If you inquire about a same-day appointment and let us know that you wish to have surgery, same-day surgery is possible.
However, there are cases where the doctor determines that surgery is not necessary upon examination. In such cases, the treatment direction is decided after a consultation with the doctor.
Cases requiring same-day or urgent surgery can be organized into about three types.

1. When inflammation is severe
If there are symptoms such as pus buildup, redness in the surrounding area, or swelling and pain accompanied by a feeling of heat, the anesthesia may not work well or wound recovery may be delayed. Antibiotics before surgery and an incision-and-drainage procedure may be performed first. If visiting on the same day is difficult, you can have antibiotics prescribed and take them even at a nearby clinic.

2. When it has suddenly grown larger
If it has suddenly grown larger, urgent surgery may be needed. However, if the pain is severe, for the reason above we recommend seeing a doctor first, relieving the pain, and then having surgery.

3. When it was hard and has become soft
